The trip started in Hamar, Norway.. I'd done some driving in a semi to Italy before, so I knew this would not be the shortest of trips. (not my pictures, just giving you an idea of the trip)
Anyway, I set out in my old Ford (1996 Fiesta) from Hamar
Figured Copenhagen would be a nice place to have my first stop.
Copenhagen looks good as always.
Spent the night in Copenhagen, next stop München.
München was nice, but a bit cloudy when I stopped there, but had a nice night anyhow.
Not that far now, but we'll do a night in Slovenia as well.. Ljubljana is a great place, just don't find yourself in a dark back alley late at night.
So.. Final Stretch and we end up in Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful places on earth.
All in all it's about 30 hours in a car, and SO many hours having fun and looking at stuff. I did the trip in about 4 days because you just can't do this without having a few nights here and there enjoying the beauty of old European cities.

I'm jealous. Mostly because I've never been to Scandinavia other than mainland Denmark. Anyway, road trips are great and 'we' should have more of them.
Kopenhaven - München seems like a chore though, especially in an old Fiesta. I've done Groningen - München (and back) in my 406c half a dozen times in the last years, which is almost 900 km one way. I really don't want to drive more than that in one day, not if I'm the only one in the car and most certainly not in a car less comfortable than my daily driver.

You live so close to Scandinavia though, just do it :)
Kopenhaven? I thought you were Dutch.. isn't it Kopenhagen there? Anywho, Denmark to München was somewhat tiresome, I'll admit that, but not that bad really, I have done Hamar - Bodø in an old golf GTI 16v with 2,5" exhaust man ;P (14 hours).
As for just one driver, I don't like being a passenger,so I end up driving.

I just can't live without my cruise control any more, not on longer trips. My 205 GTI is great, but only for shorter or 'fun' trips. I used the 205 to visit my parents (2 hour trip, 99.9% highway) last weekend, and I longed for my 406 at the end.
You're right about the Danish capital. I have no idea why I used the v. Must be a habit. It's spelled Kopenhagen in Dutch.
Scandinavia is relatively close to me compared to, well, almost everyone else on this site. True. But Groningen - Hamar is still 1226 km + a ferry ride according to google maps. Not something for a weekend. Having said that, I do hope my girlfriend soon turns her expired New Zealand decade+ old license into something valid for here. Roadtrip to Scandinavia sounds great to me.
